It's your chance to write for 411!
It's that time again! 411mania.com is looking for some fresh new faces to add to the music zone! If you've ever wanted your ideas and views to be read by THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of people, this is your chance.
411 is one of the most popular websites of its kind, attracting millions per month. Writing on 411 also opens up doors for those interested in progressing as writers.
Please note the following:
Writing for 411 is no joke. It takes time (often a lot of time) and work (often a lot of work). We take this very seriously and so should you. Don't apply unless you are serious and plan to stick around.
Be professional! Spell and grammar check anything you submit, EVEN SAMPLES. We are a globally recognized site and try to uphold professionalism.
Be original! Do not copy established styles. We want someone new. Someone who can add something to the site that we don't currently have. Be yourself!
Follow instructions! If you don't follow the application process as outlined below, you likely will be eliminated right away.
- Album Reviewer: Would need to provide four new album reviews per month. Reviews would need to be of current albums by well known artists or buzz-worthy up-and-coming acts. Some advanced reviewable albums will be provided.
(EX: Ben Czajkowski's Review of "Maroon 5 - Hands All Over")
- Columnist: Would need to provide one new, original column per week. We specifically are looking for motivated writers to take over the following columns:
5-Star News Report - A new weekly music news report that takes new music, vidoes, performances and news of the week and gives them a star rating.
F*ck Marry Or Kill - A weekly column that chooses three artists each week, digs into their background and decides which one to listen to (F*ck), keep (Marry) or get rid of (Kill).
(EX: Love, Listen or Loath by Chris Crowing)
Ask 411 Music - A weekly column with special features whose main objective is to answer music-related questions submitted by users.
(EX: "Ask 411 Music" by Mitch Michaels)
411 Music Versus - A weekly column that pits two artists or other musical entities against each other and a winner is determined using whatever criteria the author puts forth.
(EX: 411 Music Versus by Daniel Wilcox)
